The book Apostles' Doctrine focuses upon the fundamental doctrine of the Kingdom of God. This book is designed to provide the reader with a sound basis for their belief in Christ and His gift of salvation. The book of Acts suggests that the early church followed the apostles' doctrine (Acts 2:42). Apostle, Dr. Dana Carson has written this book to expound on the seven foundational tenets of the faith, recorded in Hebrews 6, from a Kingdom perspective. Luke opines that these basic Kingdom principles must be learned and mastered in order to achieve spiritual maturity. Everyone who is serious about studying the scriptures, and desires to become strong in the faith and not able to be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, must read the Apostles' Doctrine. The scriptures declare that, in the last days, men will not endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3). However, the Bible states that you and I MUST pay attention to ourselves and to the doctrine. If we do this, we will save ourselves and those who hear us (1 Timothy 4:16). It is imperative to know doctrine if you desire to "endure to the end" in this Laodicean culture, and not be defeated by the devil because of ignorance.
